Magic tricks are all well and good when you appreciate them for what they are: complicated parlor tricks that require substantial skill in sleight-of-hand/illusion in order to pull them off convincingly.

What pisses me off about Copperfield is all the excess drama and suspense that he integrates into his act in order to make people "believe," when there's totally no need for that. Just make them think "Hey that's a cool trick, I wonder how he/she did it," and you're good.
